About me
My name is Professor Sofia Cantua and I am a botanist and gardening fanatic from Peru.
I study plant life with a specific focus on plant personalities. Check out my botany work page for more information about my work.
Since 2017 I have also been researching Hoebbles.
I had never heard of Hoebbles until I happened to discover one of their trails when doing some field work. Wild and friendly creatures, they look after our natural world in more ways than you can imagine.
Favourite Place
Koh Kradan, Thailand. Famous for beautiful diving spots where you can see the coral reef.
Favourite Plant
Totora, this South American plant can be woven together to make baskets, boats and even islands that communities live on.
When I was young
I wanted to be a travel writer. I wanted to see the plants from all over the world and learn more about them.
