Botany Work

I have studied plant behaviour for the last nine years and am currently writing a thesis based on my research.

It is a lesser known area of botany and often goes unrecognised despite the wonderful groundwork already out there. I am working on my first book: The Plant That Felt It All (working title). I will keep you posted!

My field work takes me all over the world and I am passionate about learning more about different plants and deciphering their individual characteristics.

Through my work I have assigned over 1,000 plants their unique personalities. I have showcased a few examples of personality profiles below alongside my plant of the month.

The national symbol for Scotland, this species of plant is warm natured and incredibly trustworthy.

Plant of the Month

Venus Flytrap

(Dionaea muscipula)

These plants are largely misunderstood. Mostly shy in nature, this specific plant of the Dionaea genus is an introvert at heart.
